Wilmette Golf Club is a very pleasant, beautifully wooded 18 hole course conveniently located just a short drive from downtown Chicago. The course features a classic woodland layout originally designed in 1922 by Joseph Roseman, but updated by Dick Nugent. It is an entertaining and fair test of golf.

There are 6 holes with water and 39 sandtraps. Its signature hole is number 5. The greens are Bentgrass and medium in size. The tee boxes are Bent and the fairways are Bluegrass. The course also features a Full-Line pro shop and Practice Facility with Driving Range. There is also a full service bar and restaurant.

The outing will feature lunch credit and prizes.

Interesting layouts and well-conditioned courses have lured golfers to Cog Hill for over 70 years. With four regulation courses, Cog Hill tests players at all levels. Course #3 has gently rolling and wooded fairways with mostly elevated greens. They range from very tight to fairly open. There is also a blend of lengths requiring a range of shot making ability. Course #3 has enough sand, woods and water to test the accomplished player, but not to punish the beginner. Carts, lunch, and prizes are included. Come out and join us for the last event of the year! All skill levels are invited.

We would be delighted to have you join us in making The Fairway Network Fall Classic into a "don't miss" annual event. It is our new competitive two-day golf competition for a bargain rate of $165. For $165, you will receive a round of golf and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, lakeside dinner on Saturday night only at Dockers. The dinner includes one cocktail, choice of steak or chicken, vegetable and potato. If you cannot make both days, don't fret because you can come for one day at a cost of $85. For those attending for only one day, we will use your same score for both days. This event is also open to non-members and we encourage you to bring a friend.

The tournament and playoff rules will be distributed at check in. Saturday tee times start at noon and Sunday tee times start at 9:00 a.m.

The event format is as follows: Players will be divided into flights depending on their handicap and it will be individual stroke play. If you do not know your handicap, you will need to provide your average score when you sign up for the event by September 15, 2008. The club's golf professional will assign players to their respective flight.

After Sunday's round and playoffs (if necessary), plaques will be awarded for each flight at the "cash bar" cocktail hour and awards ceremony.

Fox Lake Country Club is known to many as "the diamond in the rough".
