Recommended for Intermediate II (106-120) or better skill levels.
For the third consecutive year TFN will return to Coyote Run. We really like playing this course but I wish I knew why; maybe it’s the fast sloping greens or water on 11 of the holes or the 54 strategically placed bunkers or the #16 par 3 that is one of the many optical illusions; what ever the reason we really have a lot of fun, especially at the 19th Hole.
Located in the South Suburbs where championship course are in abundance, Coyote Run holds its own. The course is a fun challenge even for the most experienced player.

Lunch ~ Drinks ~ Cash Prizes and Driving Range
Weeee’re Baaaaaaack!!! Just in time to use as a tune-up for Fox Valley. Located 26 miles from the Loop, George Dunne is a favorite TFN must play. It’s touted by Golf Digest as one of the top public courses. Golf Chicago Magazine gives it a four star rating and it’s a Certified Audubon Sanctuary.
But don’t be fooled by the beautiful woods, wetlands and the occasional deer that wanders in the fairway. This is a challenging course even for the most experienced player. The course features gigantic sand traps and bent grass on the long sloping fairways and large angular greens.
A long straight ball is required on several holes to avoid the forced water carries, many with lateral hazards. Eight lakes come into play on eleven holes. The nine shot rule is mandatory ~ six fairway shots and three putts.
The outing includes lunch from the grill, two drinks of your choice from the bar and prizes for several games. It is recommended that you come early enough to take advantage of the driving range and putting greens.

Back for the third year is the popular Fall Classic which is a two-day golf competition and “stayvacation” for a bargain rate of $180. For $180, you will receive a round of golf and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and dinner Saturday night.
If you cannot make both days, don’t fret because you can come for one day for $90. For those attending for only one day, you can participate in daily contests (putting, longest drive & closest to the pin), but you will not be able to participate in the competition because we need two-day total score. This event is open only to The Fairway Network members. Sign up deadline is September 3, 2010.
The tournament and playoff rules will be distributed at check in. Saturday tee times start at noon and Sunday tee times start at 9:00 a.m. The event format is as follows: Players will be divided into flights depending on their handicap and it will be individual stroke play. The club’s golf professional will assign players to their respective flight. Each golf cart will be equipped with GPS. After Sunday’s round, plaques and prizes will be awarded for each flight and contests during a brief awards ceremony.
For those of you who want to spend the night there, we have a block of rooms at: The Comfort Inn & Suites located at 350 West Highway 173, Antioch, IL 60002. Phone: (847) 395-3606.
